Marriott Ford's Colony is a beautiful place with a private drive to houses, golf course, and a lovely resort in the back. There are many buildings with rooms to stay, but when you get in your room, it seems so private and away from everything. They have many amenities and we were pleasantly surprised by the free laundry machines right on our floor. It was so convenient for our travel needs. Also a new putt putt course was installed as well as a splash pad near the pool. The putt putt course is difficult and not designed for children. A bucket of free balls is available for guests each morning for practice on the driving range. The facility is built around a lovely golf course in a wooded setting. We especially love the location. It is a residential area, but only minutes from shopping and restaurants. Also, it is located only minutes from our daughter and grandchildren. It is our go to spot in Williamsburg.

We stayed at resort for our daughter’s wedding which was also located on the property. The off season rates were FANTASTIC!! We stayed in a two bedroom villa that was shared with my parents. We also got one bedroom suite for our daughter and used it to get ready. LOTS of space and the decor made for INCREDIBLE pictures!! Our guests were thrilled with their accommodations and all the amenities that came with the facilities. We were able to gather at the heated pool, hot tub, and nearby restaurants. The staff was amazing and there were many activities that were communicated to us each day via text. Our experience was WELL beyond our expectations!! A little slice of heaven!!

The room was FANTASTIC. sparkling clean on arrival and VERY spacious. I was anticipating a simple room with a kitchenette -- I HAD A FULL KITCHEN and it was GLORIOUS. The tub was HUGE. The place smelled great. Grounds were beautiful. We could see them doing maintenance and cleaning, and building new stuff, so the property is definitely well maintained. Bonus: There was a literal washer and dryer in our room. I just can't get over it. They thought of EVERYTHING.

The room was exceptionally clean and met all of our needs. We were in the Colonial Commons building and enjoyed the sound of the splash pads throughout the night. There are designated smoking spaces for those who need them.

We had a beautiful two bedroom apartment which was very large and well appointed, quiet with a great view of the golf course.
